A poem

Of dappled light
And breezy leaves
A dense heart
And a fatigue to succumb
We walk a forest path
Burdened by hope and
Frustrated by grief
In need of sleep
Just sit in the forest a while
Let the green shade hold you
As the birds mutter and
The moss soothes
Let the light in through the trees
Let it glimmer in your mind
Breathe
It’s a season of life
And the shade may fade
And the greens turn the same tone
Know when
To turn your face to light and stand in its glow
For tears to sparkle on your lashes
Hear the sound of your mind and walk through the steps to dinner
